Our Executive Director & Founder

"Formed in the spirit of dynamic faith, loving oneself & helping others"

Today’s teens are tomorrow’s leaders, making it essential to invest in their development. While they receive their academic foundation at school, their everyday environment, home life, media, and countless other influences shape who they become and the decisions they make. As a former single mother of a teenage girl, I understand firsthand the pressures teenagers face daily. Their world is filled with constant, difficult decisions. After observing the experiences of my daughter and her peers, it became evident that teenagers need encouragement and guidance to build a foundation of self-respect, self-motivation, and integrity to make positive choices. With the support of a dedicated group of women, AN IMAGE OF ME was created. Penelope, an alumna of the University of Phoenix and Norfolk State University, also holds a coaching certificate from Harvard Business School. On behalf of AN IMAGE OF ME, we extend our heartfelt THANKS to all the parents who will allow their young ladies to participate in our program. We also express our gratitude to the volunteers who will dedicate their time and talents to our organization. We recognize that trust is essential to building relationships and commitment is key to making them last. We appreciate the trust you place in our organization and are committed to strengthening our relationship with the community.
